Meet Haley
It takes considerable strength to ask for help and Haley is prepared to walk alongside you in your healing journey.
She is a certified Developmental and Relational Trauma (DART) Therapist. She has completed extensive training in childhood and relational trauma. This work utilizes Post Induction Therapy (PIT), which was founded by Pia Mellody (author of Facing Codependence) and continues to be adapted and advanced by Jan Bergstrom (author of Gifts From a Challenging Childhood) and Rick Butts. This method helps individuals identify and learn how areas of distress in their lives started and how they can begin to live more regularly as their Functional Adult Selves.
She is currently training for certification in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which is a therapy that uses bilateral stimulation to help individuals heal from the symptoms of emotional distress caused by disturbing life experiences.
She also utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Mindfulness based approaches in her work with individuals. Haley earned her license in Clinical Social Work from UW-Madison. She has experience working with adults and older adults with severe and persistent mental illness, substance abuse, trauma, and challenging life adjustments. She utilizes a present-focused, person-centered, and trauma-informed lens when working with clients. Haley welcomes client diversity and works to create a safe and collaborative approach to the healing process.
