
Meet Shannon
Shannon, a psychotherapist at MTT, has a Master’s in Counseling and is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). She is passionate about tailoring therapy to the client’s needs and desires and offers a variety of modalities such as EMDR, CBT, DBT, Narrative, Parts Work, and Expressive interventions. Shannon has experience working with teens, young adults, and adults with persistent mental illness, trauma, and significant life adjustments. She utilizes a collaborative, client-centered, and trauma-informed lens in the counseling room to empower and encourage wellness in clients. Shannon has experience working with individuals with a variety of identities and works to create a safe environment for healing and processing.
Shannon also holds a Certificate of Education in Animal Assisted Psychotherapy and invites her dog Iris into session. Iris has undergone numerous training courses and has a Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Certification. She is currently training for her therapy dog certification with Pet Partners. Currently, Iris only attends session one day a week.
